A repeat shoplifter tried to steal DIY equipment from B&Q by hiding them inside a brochure as he walked along the aisles.
Mark Flynn, of Hagden Lane, Watford, pleaded guilty to theft of £54.78 of DIY accessories at Watford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old entered the Watford store around 6.30 on Thursday, September 25, with another male. He was seen removing items from shelves and attempting to conceal them in the brochure, but was stopped outside by security after walking out without paying.
Flynn made full admissions to police. Because of his previous record magistrates ordered reports before sentencing and Flynn was warned he could go to prison.
He was released on conditional bail not to return to the shop and will be sentenced at Dacorum Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 11.
