A giant planning application to build hundreds of homes on a former West Herts College campus has been re-submitted to Watford Borough Council.
Developers George Wimpey are now seeking permission to build 235 new homes - comprising 22 one-bed flats, 89 two-bed flats and a solitary three-bed flat.
The developers are also hoping to erect 56 three-bedroom houses, as well as 67 four-bedroom homes.
The huge proposal also includes a community centre, a play area, car parking, refuse bin and bicycle stores and will see road access created from Leggatts Way and the A41.
The latest application comes ten months after an even bigger plan - to build 248 new homes - was withdrawn by planners.
On that occasion the council’s planning officers recommended the plan for refusal on 13 separate reasons.
The application was withdrawn before the plan came before the council’s development control committee.
