Members of the RAF Association in Abbots Langley and Kings Langley have raised more than £2,500 to support serving and former servicemen and women, and their families.
During the recent Wings Appeal, members of the branch held collections outside two supermarkets in north Watford, with shoppers at Asda donating £2,373.20 and those at Sainsbury's offering £397.16.
The local organisers wished to thank the management at both supermarkets for their hospitality, while adding their gratitude to volunteer collectors and 2F Squadron ATC, from Leavesden, for their assistance.
The Wings Appeal aims to raise more than £2million each year to privide welfare support for serving and former members of the Royal Air Force, their families and dependants.
