“Mindless” vandals smashed their way into four cars before deliberately releasing handbrakes to watch them roll and crash down hilly roads in Bushey.
A red Skoda Felicia and black Renault Clio on Prowse Avenue, a Vauxhall Cavalier on Thorn Avenue and a black Hyundai hatchback on Hartsbourne Road were all targeted in the criminal damage spree.
The cars rolled into lamp posts, the centre of the road and one of them knocked down a road sign.
The four incidents took place on Saturday and Sunday.
PC Gerard Handscombe said: “These are mindless acts of vandalism where nothing was taken and in some cases cars have been deliberately rolled down hills.”
Anyone with any information on the crimes is asked to telephone PC Handscombe on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
