ARMED robbers terrorised a pub landlord on Saturday night as they stole his takings.
Two men burst into the Cricketers, Sarratt, at around 10.45pm on Saturday - just 15 minutes after it had closed for business.
After threatening the landlord with a knife the men tied him up before fleeing with a large amount of money.
Police, who are appealing for witnesses and information about the robbery, have released descriptions of the pair.
The first, who wielded the knife, is described as white, aged 30 to 35, of stocky build, with short shaven hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a big navy blue jacket zipped up around the face. He had a round head with “sunken” features.
The second offender is described as a white man aged 30 to 32, of stocky build, with sharp features and dark sideburns. He was wearing a blue baseball cap and a large size blue rain jacket zipped up to the face.
DC Archie Bagworth, investigating, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was either in the pub that evening, or at the function which was taking place in the village hall next door - and who may have information which could help the investigation to contact us as soon as possible.
“We believe the last people left at about 10.34pm and they may have seen something.
“Also anyone else who was in the area at the time, who may have seen some thing strange or suspicious like anyone hanging around, we would ask to get in touch too.”
Anyone with any information on these crimes should ring DC Bagworth on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555111.
