TEN cowboy hat-wearing fundraisers, wearing pink leggings, caught pub regulars throughout Watford and South Oxhey by surprise in their bid to raise funds for children with cancer.
The visually striking group were seen wielding their way throughout pubs in the area, donating £425 to the Yummy Mummy charity.
The girls collected funds from generous drinkers, who probably thought they had had one too many on seeing the colourfully-clad cowgirls. The group had decided to forget their inhibitions and get together to do something impulsive.
Organiser Danielle Yule said: “We’d like to thank everyone who donated any money. We all felt a bit silly dressed like that, but it was for a good cause and most people were really nice which made it a lot easier to do.”
Daniella and her friends held the event as part of Yummy Mummy week, which encourages mums to have fun while raising money for children with cancer through the charity Clic Sargent.
