Probably one of the most enigmatic, psychological films I've ever seen, this romantic/erotic comedy stars Fabrice Luchini (the film is in French with English sub-titles), famous for his meticoulousness, obsession even, in incarnating his roles perfectly and stepping inside his character's skin for the whole of the production.
Willaim Faber is a financial adviser who establishes a (very) strange relationship with Anna (Sandrine Bonnaine) after she mistakenly enters his office thinking him to be the shrink who lives down the hall. Sure that he is a psychiatrist she reveals-all about her (very, VERY) strange marriage and her estranged life.
Unable to reveal his true identity, moved by the woman's story, William enters a very perturbing and delicate world of hidden truths and deciets. His monotone routine (and quite boring) life is suddenly shattered by the arrival of haphazard Anna as he finds himself falling in love with her, but is all really as it seems?
An entriguing tale of confessions, secrets and lies whose existence will leave you distressed, excited, and very much involved. Almost as involved as Luchini is in his new role as William, the financial adviser caught up in a dangerous little game.
