Dubbed "a rare cinematic jewel," Focus, set in New York during WWII, tells the story of an American like any other whose whole life is suddenly, dramatically, altered by the aquisition of, believe it or not, glasses!
During the height of anti-semitism, actor William H. Macy and his "wife" (co-star Laura Dem) are slowly alienated at home and work. They become the target of racial prejudice, an element strongly present in their neighbourhood, and must learn the value of self, solidarity and sometimes even resignation as they struggle to keep their dignity and maintain their hapiness.
A moving drama born of "the directional debut of award-winning photographer Neal Slavin," Focus is adapted from a novel of the same name by Arthur Miller and is sure to leave you cold, fearful and almost as insecure as the all-star cast itself!
