Jay and I have discovered a little gem hiding in the countryside little more than a stone's throw from our front door.
Living in Garston and working in Watford it's sometimes difficult to realise just how lucky we are to be surrounded by such beautiful countryside, but the good weather of late (and the gross amount of Easter eggs we've managed to consume) has meant Jay and I have taken to walking and exploring the area without a car for a change.
The Old Fox pub in Bricket Wood is our latest discovery and to me it's a little piece of heaven.
I've always known it was there but never bothered to use it before now, always opting for the hustle and bustle of town pubs instead, or driving out to Croxley Green if we fancied a more scenic location.
But The Old Fox has changed all that. Inside it's like walking into someone's living room and there's ample room outside to relax and enjoy the warm weather, while listening to the birds and watching the wildlife.
It really is a treat.
