What a game yesterday. I doubt any Watford fan could have predicted that happening, even the most loyal and optimistic.
It was great to finally see Tamas Priskin get his first goal in the Premiership. It must have been a real kick in the teeth to have his goal taken away from him against Wigan.
I was also pleased to see our captain put in a solid perforamnce. Up to Christmas I could not have picked a better player in our side than Gavin Mahon. Every week he would give his all and every week he would be our best player. However, in the last ten games or so he has been well below his usual standard, and i think he knows that. The goal he scored yesterday was arguably the best of our season. Marlon King's against West Ham is certainly up there, but Gav's was a real rocket that came out of nothing.
What is important is that the boys go into a cup semi-final on the back of a confidence boosting win. The odds are stacked firmly against us, but if Southend can beat United, then why cant we?
See you at Villa Park
