I must apologise for my lack of entries of late. No excuses except for a lack of time.
So since my last entry we have won a few games and are through to the last eight of the FA Cup. Superb stuff, something to finally cheer about.
Hand on heart, I was a tad disappointed with the lack of high profile players that were brought in during the transfer window, so recent wins in the league and cup have lifted my spirits a little. Collins John turning us down was a massive blow, as i really believe he would have added some quality up front. I do sometimes wonder what Aidy looks for when he is scouting around for players. Birmingham signed highly rated winger Seb Larsson from Arsenal for £1 million, while summer target Carlos Edwards went to Sunderland for not much more. Did he look at them in January? Or maybe they were not what he was looking for?
On a brighter note, I do like the look of Will Hoskins and Johan Cavalli. Will should be one for the future, while Johan looks like he has a lot to offer. I'm sure the other new boys will fit in well, and I expect good things from Steve Kabba once fit.
Big games coming up, and I shall look forward to seeing all of them.
