The sleeping saga continues with young Georgia, although from sound advice I have received, I really think things are certainly showing signs of improvement.
Dave and I are catching on to our little terror's ploys to make us feel bad and let her sleep in with us. The screaming and crying, we have now figured out, is purely attention seeking. There is not a tear to be seen.
So the new action is to put her into bed, kiss her on the cheek and leave the room. She soon follows but when she sees you outside the door, she quickly shuts her door and stays inside as she knows now mum and dad aren't quite the push overs they once were.
At the moment we are going through this several times a night but she is starting to accept the new rules with less tantrums.
Last night I thought I had cracked it, we went through several attempts to leave the room at bedtime, but once it was quiet, I heard nothing more until this morning. All of a sudden this morning I heard a scream, ran into her room only to see an empty bed. I scanned the room, couldn't see her, couldn't work out where she could be until I saw a foot under the wardrobe.
The little madam had crawled under there in what I can only assume was a temper at not getting her own way. Gave her a fright when she woke this morning though!
Goodness only knows where I will find her tomorrow!
