A Watford man is due in crown court over allegedly threatening someone with a knife and robbing him in a town centre car park.

Sofiane Khedaiche appeared in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday (December 2) charged with robbery and threatening a person with a blade.

According to court documents, the 27-year-old is accused of threatening a man with a bronze-handled knife in the Iceland car park in Watford on March 30, in such a way that a reasonable person “would think that there was an immediate risk of physical harm”.

He is further alleged to have robbed the same individual of a laptop, bag, and ID of unknown value.

A separate charge of breaking bail conditions was withdrawn during the magistrates’ court appearance.

Khedaiche, of Charter Pace, is next expected to appear at St Albans Crown Court for a further case management hearing. He was granted bail, with conditions.
