A specially carved bench is to be installed in memory of the victims of the Bushey crossbow attack.
Trustees of Bushey Manor Field have agreed to erect the seat in honour of Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt, who died after being found injured at home in Ashlyn Close.
Bushey North councillor Laurence Brass, who is Manor Field trustee, told the Watford Observer that he was "pleased" that the plan is set to go ahead.
He said: "As a longstanding trustee of the Bushey Manor Field and county councillor, I was aware of the pleasure that Louise Hunt used to derive from walking her dog in our field. The Hunt family home is a few yards from the field and Louise worked as a dog groomer locally."
The victims were the mother and two daughters of racing commentator John Hunt, and Cllr Brass says that Mr Hunt supports the idea of the bench.

The field's website describes it as "unspoilt English countryside" and a "vital breathing space for people, animals and birds".
Cllr Brass added: "I’m working with neighbours of the family to arrange the siting of the bench and the wording on the plaque, but nothing will be in place before the New Year. I hope that the specially carved bench will provide a fitting memorial."
The murders shocked the village and saw the community come together to support the family, with hundreds of mourners flocking to local vigils in the following days.
John Hunt returned to the airwaves weeks after the tragedy, continuing in his work as a horse racing commentator for the BBC and Sky Sports.
Murder suspect Kyle Clifford appeared in court again last week, charged with killing the three women. He has also been charged with false imprisonment and two counts of possession of offensive weapons.
Clifford, of Rendlesham Road in Enfield, appeared by video link at Cambridge Crown Court on November 29.
The 26-year-old is expected to enter a plea when he next appears in court at a date yet to be confirmed this month.
