A Watford street has once again been brought some festive cheer, with 'Grillo's Grotto' illuminating Harford Drive.
The dazzling display has become something of a neighbourhood tradition, since being started by Tony Grillo nearly 40 years.
Tony sought to spread festive cheer to the community, decorating his home for all to see.
The much-loved display has returned for 2024, but with a difference and for a good cause.
Tony himself is no longer able to create the stunning displays himself as a result of a battle with vascular dementia, meaning he has handed the baton to his nephew, Calum Henderson.
- Plan to demolish Kings Langley home and build two refused
- Herts bus usage soars to above pre-pandemic levels
The family is hoping that under Calum's stewardship, the display can continue to charm neighbours and visitors for many years to come.
This year, the grotto is raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, a cause close to the family's hear following Tony's diagnosis.
Visitors to the Harford Drive display can contribute to the fundraiser by donating money into the cream coloured box, located next to the house's "Santa please stop here" sign.
