Detective Constable Lee Whale, from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s domestic abuse investigation and safeguarding unit (DAISU), said: “I hope that this conviction and sentence will help to reassure the public and local community that we will support victims by dealing robustly with intimidation offences.
“Domestic violence is something that will not be tolerated in Hertfordshire and we will throw the full force of the law at such offenders.”
He added he hopes the sentence would be positive news for the victim.
Anyone who is a domestic violence victim, or knows someone who is, has been urged to call 999 in an ongoing emergency or where life is in danger.
Information can also be reported via the Herts Police website or non-emergency number 101.
