Police have issued a warning after reports of parcel deliveries being taken in a Watford road.
Packages went missing in Whippendell Road between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday (November 27) after being left by deliver companies, the force said in a Herts Connected message.
It said: “There has been reports of parcel deliveries going missing after being left by delivery companies. With Christmas approaching, this type of theft will more than likely increase.
“Please make sure, if you can, that deliveries occur when you are at home or parcels can be left in a secure safe place / with a neighbour.”

Any suspicious behaviour should be reported to police immediately, they added.
Asked for more details, a Herts Police spokesperson said a woman in her 30s received an email from a company stating their parcel containing cosmetic creams worth around £20 had been delivered – but upon arrival it was no longer there.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information has been asked to contact the force via non-emergency number 101 or online, quoting reference 41/100299/24.
