Two burglary reports from the same road involved offenders smashing a door and a window before ransacking the inside.

Herts Police shared alerts on their Herts Connected platform, asking anyone with information on the Whitelands Avenue, Chorleywood, break-ins to get in touch yesterday (November 26).

The first is thought to have happened between 1.30pm and 6pm on Saturday (November 23). It was reported that a burglar or multiple burglars got in by walking along the flat roof above the rear patio and smashing a bedroom window.

The property was ransacked, with the offender(s) taking items before leaving by unknown means.

Between 5pm and 6pm that day, the rear patio door to a home in the road was smashed before it was ransacked.

Offender(s) again left by unknown means.

Information can be reported online, or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 41/99429/24 for the first report and 41/99437/24 for the second.

Separately, items were stolen when a garage in The Spinney, of Church Road, Watford, was broken into between 8pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.

Police have asked for information to be reported “as soon as possible”, but no crime reference was given.
