The latest court listings have seen several people from the Watford area in court after committing drug offences.

Between November 5 and November 18, these six people were dealt with at St Albans and Hatfield magistrates’ courts over offences including cocaine possession and drug driving.

Any drugs seized were forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

November 5 - Claire Vella, of Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt, admitted to cannabis and cocaine possession in Watford on October 19 during an appearance at St Albans Magistrates’ Court.

The 49-year-old was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in costs.

November 7 – James Anderson, from Watford, appeared in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court and admitted to MDMA and ketamine possession in Rickmansworth on November 1.

The 38-year-old, of no fixed abode, also admitted to failing to comply with a community protection notice.

He was given a two-week prison sentence for MDMA possession and one week for having ketamine, each suspended for one year.

November 11 – Glenn Armstrong, of Tylersfield, Abbots Langley, appeared in St Albans Magistrates’ Court and was handed a £200 fine and £85 in costs to pay.

The 43-year-old had admitted to driving in London Colney with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) in his system on March 12 and was also banned from driving for 17 months.

November 14 - Narada Wilson, of Bucknalls Close, Garston, pleaded guilty to assault by beating, criminal damage, and cannabis possession during an appearance in St Albans Magistrates’ Court.

The 26-year-old was not given a separate penalty for the drug offence but was given a community order and ordered to pay £450 in compensation in total.

According to court documents, the criminal damage referred to a necklace belonging to the assault victim.

The drug offence was listed as taking place at Hatfield Police Station on August 10, while the other two offences took place in Watford on the same day.

November 16 – Kevin Burke, of Eastlea Avenue, Watford, admitted to cocaine possession in the town on June 23 during an appearance in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court.

The 52-year-old was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in costs as well as a £48 surcharge.

November 18 – Kerry Crossley, 41, was fined £80 after admitting to cannabis possession in South Oxhey on October 23.

Crossley, of Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, was sentenced at St Albans Magistrates’ Court.
