Passengers travelling between London Euston and Watford Junction are facing disruption this morning, with problems affecting the route for a second day in a row.

A points failure between the two stations means that trains are being delayed by up to 25 minutes.

Disruption is expected to last until 9am, although this may be extended.

Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway services have been affected  by the fault, with customers potentially able to claim compensation.

If hoping to submit a claim, passengers should make sure that they keep their train ticket and make a note of their journey.

The problems follow a full day of delays and cancellations yesterday, with a signalling fault to blame.

Similar disruption was experienced on November 14, making this the third set of delays on this line in the space of a week.
