A Watford man was seriously injured after being repeatedly struck with a baseball bat while stood outside his home.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was approached by the suspect outside his property in Queens Avenue before a row ensued.
In a police appeal today (November 20), officers said the victim was reportedly struck numerous times with what is believed to be a baseball bat - resulting in serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.
It happened between 8.15pm and 8.49pm on Tuesday, September 17, and those involved are not believed to know each other.
Detective Sergeant Andy Metselaar from the Watford Local Crime Unit said: “We have been conducting a number of enquiries since this report was made to us.
"Following the extensive review of CCTV footage, we understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident who may have information that could assist with our investigation and are yet to speak to police.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could help us with our enquiries, to please get in contact.”

The suspect has been described as of Asian background, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
