A burglar smashed into a Watford home before ransacking it and stealing valuable jewellery.
Herts Police shared an alert about the break-in via their Herts Connected site this morning, asking members of the public to get in touch.
Between 5pm on Friday, November 15, and 4.37pm the next day, the offender – or multiple burglars – smashed a first-floor window in Briar Road, ransacked the property as they searched, and stole “a high value of jewellery”, the force said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/97563/24. Anonymous information can be provided by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In a separate appeal that was also shared this morning, officers asked for information on anti-social behaviour in West Watford.
An unknown person, or multiple people, were apparently behaving anti-socially and egged a property in Pretoria Road at around 4.50pm on Sunday (November 17).
