A Watford man has appeared in court after being accused of stealing more than £40,000 worth of goods from two shops.
Oliver Brown, of no fixed abode with his last known address being in Leavesden Road, appeared at Hatfield Magistrates' Court on November 16 in relation to two thefts from shops in Hemel Hempstead.
The 37-year-old is accused of stealing unspecified items that have a value of £43,263.67
On April 15,2023, he is said to have stolen £14,063.67 worth of items from The Tackle Shop in Queens Square.
The following day (April 16,2023), he allegedly stole items worth £29,200 from The Snow Centre in St Albans Hill.
Brown has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance, which will be at Luton Crown Court on December 11.

During his appearance at Hatfield Magistrates', Brown pleaded guilty to a separate offence of driving while disqualified. He was banned from driving and handed a 12 week prison sentence.
Brown also pleaded guilty to stealing £58 worth of goods from a Co-Op store on September 9.
With his guilty plea taken into account, he was ordered to repay £58 costs.
