A man in his twenties has been arrested after a Watford car fire left multiple vehicles burnt out.
Emergency services were called to the blaze, which involved three vehicles alight in Canterbury Road, at around 1.10am on October 9.
Firefighters handed the scene over to Herts Police, after extinguishing the flames, and it was confirmed that the fire was being treated as deliberate later that day.
No one was injured.
This afternoon (November 18), Herts Police shared that detectives had made the arrest on suspicion of three counts of criminal damage on Thursday (November 14).
The man has since been released on police bail, while enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Georgia Boyle said: “We have been conducting a number of enquiries including reviewing CCTV, doorbell and dash cam footage as well as speaking to residents in the area.

On the day of the fire, Herts Fire and Rescue assistant chief fire officer Mark Barber said: “Deliberate fires can cause a significant amount of damage, as well as being distressing for the people affected.
“On top of that our crews may not be able to attend other incidents where people urgently need our help.
"Please report any activity that may help the police with their investigations, and help us to protect our communities and keep people safe.”
