Croxley Green Opticians' owner says she is fearful of future attacks after a window at her practice was smashed.
She told the Watford Observer that she and her family arrived at the practice in Watford Road on Monday, November 11, to find that a panel on the door had been damaged.
"There was glass on the inside, all over the floor, stretching as far back as the front desk," the owner said. "We had to do a lot of work to make it safe for patients coming in and out of the practice, so it's been a very stressful week."
It was only earlier today (November 18) that the damage was fixed, after the practice was forced to go a week covering the damage with cardboard.

The experienced optician, who took over with her family in March 2023, said the "horrible day" has left her fearful for the future.
While nothing was stolen, she fears the perpetrators could return, adding: "I am very worried about a future attack. We've tried to put extra provisions in place over the last few days but I'm really not sure how much we can do. There's a lot of expensive stuff in here, all the equipment and high-value frames."
She added it has had a "significant mental impact", especially with Christmas so close.
Herts Police have been contacted for more details.
