Warner Bros. has shared an update on the ongoing expansion works at its Leavesden studios.
Having gained planning permission for the final version of its proposal to add 11 new sound stages, officer, workshops, and a multi-storey car park to its existing site in May, this year, the project is now “well underway”.
New production offices, three workshops, a multi-storey car park featuring 2,500 parking spaces, and a new roundabout near the A41 North Western Avenue are also part of the expansion into land to the studios’ south and south-west.
The update, sent out to Leavesden neighbours says that construction company Bowmer + Kirkland has been appointed to build the sound stages. It will also build a pedestrian link bridge to the car park, which is being built separately by Huber Parking.

Work began in May, with groundworks and foundations now “taking shape”. The steel frame of the first sound stage has already started and all projects should be done by February 2027.
Huber Parking started developing the car park in June, Warner Bros. added. A temporary access from Gadeside was the first task as part of this, with groundworks and preparation for the foundations now in progress.
Concrete stair cores and vehicle ramps will be installed from November and the car park should be complete in early 2026.
