Police have closed down a house where drug use and people arriving in the early hours of most days caused months of misery for neighbours.
The closure order secured yesterday (November 14) means no one other than police and maintenance works can enter the home in Anthony Close, near Oxhey Hall, for three months.
Those nearby had reported the tenant’s antisocial behaviour over “several months”, with issues including suspected drug use, noise issues, and regular late-night arrivals.
Sergeant Andrew Blackwood said: “Officers were called to the address on numerous occasions due to reports of antisocial behaviour and this behaviour was escalating.
“Local residents should not have to put up with this kind of activity impacting on their daily lives in this way.”

The Three Rivers Community Safety Unit and Oxhey Neighbourhood Policing Team applied for the order, which was granted under the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Sergeant Blackwood added: “I hope this has reassured the community that we take reports like this very seriously and shows our robustness in taking action against those who wish to commit ASB in properties in Three Rivers.
“We will use every available tactic to tackle antisocial behaviour and I would continue to urge members of the community to report any behaviour of this nature to the police.”
