Newly submitted plans seek approval for building a four-bedroom home as infill where a garage once stood.
The garage by a house in Kindersley Way, Abbots Langley, has already been knocked down because it was “in poor condition” according to the applicant.
This has left room at the side of the existing detached house, which would be filled with a new two-storey house under the planning application added to the Three Rivers District Council this week.
It is currently pending consideration.

The proposed attached home would have four-bedrooms on the first floor, with a lounge, kitchen, and utility room on the ground floor.
“The proposal is set on a substantial plot with a generous gap to the side of the property,” application documents said.
“We believe that the proposed dwelling will sit nicely in the street scene and provide a further property within the village location. Its size design and aspect are all in keeping with the location.
“Off street parking is provided and the amenity space is of a good size.”
