A voyeur who recorded a woman in Watford without consent has been handed a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to the offence.
Roopesh Rawal, of Coulser Close in Hemel Hempstead, entered a guilty plea at St Albans Magistrates' Court last month (October 22), having initially denied the offences.
The 45-year-old returned to the court today (November 14) where he was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 24 months.
He was also given a restraining order against his victim and ordered to fulfil 30 days of rehabilitation.
Between January 30, 2022 and November 2 the following year, Rawal recorded his victim doing a private act without consent for the purpose of sexual gratification.
Rawal had previously had his bail revoked after breaching its terms by sending eight emails to his victim.
