The Post Office has confirmed 115 branches which could close as part of a transformation plan - but Watford's are not on the list.

Larger crown branches that are loss-making may be axed or could be taken over by third parties, such as WHSmith, the government-owned company announced today (November 13).

The Post Office has 11,500 branches nationwide and around 1,000 jobs are understood to be at risk. Scroll down to see the full list of at-risk branches.

Led by its new chairman Nigel Railton, the Post Office has launched a review into the organisation following recent scandals and the rise of rival delivery operators.

Branches in and around the Watford area do not appear on the full list being circulated today.

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has hit out the plans, branding them "immoral" and "tone deaf", amid an ongoing enquiry into the Horizon IT scandal.

Mr Railton has claimed that the review will give the Post Office "a fresh start" and provide more than £250m each year to postmasters by 2030.
