Police have revealed that the cause of a house fire was deemed to be suspicious – sparking an arson investigation.
Emergency services rushed to Oxhey Drive, South Oxhey, at around 1.30am on Friday, November 1, after reports that a fire which had started in a shed had spread to the main house.
No injuries were reported.
With the fire now being treated as having been the result of suspected arson, Herts Police are appealing for witnesses and information.
So far, there is nothing to suggest it was targeted and it is being treated as an isolated incident.
Detective Constable Dan Cunningham said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who has information about this incident or saw any suspicious activity in Oxhey Drive around the time of it.
