A Chorleywood nursery says it is "thrilled" after scooping a positive Ofsted inspection with all areas judged to be 'good'.
Hollybush Montessori, based in Common Road's Hollybush Hall, was inspected on October 14 before the report was published this week.
The watchdog wrote: "Staff place children at the heart of everything they do.
"Bespoke settling-in sessions are successfully implemented to meet the individual needs of children and families.
"Staff gather a wealth of information from parents about children's care and learning needs. They use this to plan a meaningful curriculum."
The inspector found the nursery was highly effective in helping children to feel "happy, safe, and secure".
Headmistress Sarah Hickles said everyone at the nursery is "delighted", adding: "We are thrilled that our bespoke settling and strong relationships with parents have been highlighted enabling the children to have a sense of belonging.
"Our meaningful curriculum, which is ambitious and broad, allows us to follow the children's interests in our highly enabling environment - making our children feel happy, safe and secure."
Inspectors also highlighted the kids' love of books, stating that "staff read to children with great enthusiasm, skilfully using the content to broaden their understanding of the wider world".
They continued: "Staff are positive role models; they consistently use good manners when speaking to each other and children. This motivates children to do the same.
"Staff provide children with sensitive reminders to support their understanding of remaining safe and respecting others, such as using their walking feet indoors."
Efforts in promoting communication and language development was also praised, which made children "confident and articulate communicators".
They also benefit from weekly Spanish sessions and which broaden their language skills and encouragement to be independent and have healthy lifestyles.
Strong partnerships with parents were also noted, with inspectors stating: "Parents have high regard for staff, they describe them as 'maternal' who provide their children with 'so much attention and love'."
However, the report noted that the nursery has been advised to refine the organisation of routines during the day to minimise waiting time for children.
Hollybush Montessori registered in 2016 and follows the Montessori method of education and philosophy, providing early education for two and three-year-old children.
During term time, the setting is open from 9.30am until 3pm, Monday to Friday.
There are three staff members who work directly with the children.
