The Watford Santa Dash is set to return for its eighth year to help raise funds for charity.
Taking place in Cassiobury Park on December 1, the event features a 5k race and a 1k fun run.
The event, which is organised by Watford Mencap, is open to residents of all ages and abilities.
Participants are encouraged to walk, jog, or sprint individually, in groups, or with carers.
The event is known for its colourful costumes, with Santas, elves, fairies, and even grinches being a common sight at the starting line.
Prizes are given out for the best-dressed runners, and all participants receive a medal.
Watford Mencap hopes to engage more people than ever before in this year's dash.
Michelle Hamilton, fundraising manager, said: "The Watford Santa Dash aims to raise much-needed funds to provide vital services and activities for local children and adults with learning disabilities.
"We are grateful to everyone who supports throughout the year - we couldn’t do what we do without them.
"But Christmas is an extra special time to help other people.
"We hope that lots of runners will join us in raising much-needed funds for the benefit of people in our community."
Watford Mencap supports around 1,400 individuals with learning disabilities, providing services including residential homes, advice and information, learning courses, and children’s clubs in Watford, Three Rivers, and Hertsmere.
All proceeds from the Santa Dash will go towards these services.
The dash is supported by Warner Bros Studios Leavesden as the headline sponsor, while Wenzel’s the Bakers will be providing treats at the finish line.
There is a 10 per cent discount for members of running clubs and teams of six or more.
For those who want to contribute but are not keen on running, volunteer marshals are also needed.
