A fundraiser has been set up as the community rallies behind a popular supermarket following a break-in which saw two suspects arrested.
Croxley Green residents were left shocked yesterday morning (November 8) after a police cordon went up outside a parade of shops in Watford Road.
Police soon confirmed that Croxley Supermarket had been targeted, with the shop's frontage visibly damaged.
Farmhouse Pizza was also broken into, a police spokesperson confirmed.
24 hours on, a GoFundMe has been set up to help the much-loved business recover from the attack.
At time of writing £411 has been raised by 45 people in the first few hours, far surpassing the initial goal of £100.
The effort was started by Linda Anderson, owner of nearby The Kitchen Croxley, after discussions with district councillor Narinder Sian.
The GoFundMe page reads: "The Croxley Supermarket is known by so many of us. Sadly they were broken into yesterday and face repairs and a loss to their business.
"Instead of buying yourself a coffee today (or as well as if you can afford it!) please donate the cost of a Cappuccino to Farmhouse Pizza and our Friends on The End."
Two suspects, both men in their 30s, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and assault of an emergency worker.
