There is gridlock traffic in Hemel Hempstead following a motorcycle crash that has seen police shut a road.
Maylands Avenue has been closed at its junction with Swallowdale Lane after a blue Peugeot 3008 and a green Kawasaki motorcycle crashed at around 4.06pm today (November 7).
Officers are currently at the scene alongside the East of England Ambulance Service. A police spokesperson urged motorists to seek alternative routes.

Someone also posted on social media "avoid Marylands Avenue like the plague, tailbacks everywhere for about 35 minutes, police are in the road by the gym".
Nearby Green Lane has also been closed in one direction, away from the M1, due to roadworks which have been ongoing since October 28. This is also contributing to tailbacks causing half-hour delays in the area according to residents.
Maylands Avenue is on the diversion that is supposed to be in place for vehicles looking to access the industrial estate while Green Lane is shut.
There are also multi-way signals in Wood Lane End around the corner and Buncefield Lane is similarly shut for roadworks.
