A major Watford road will be closed later this month to enable a crane to be lifted at a primary school.

Clarendon Road will be closed from 8pm overnight on November 18 to allow the works to take place at St John’s Church of England Primary School.

Meanwhile, upcoming roadworks are likely to cause delays in other busy roads in the town including Exchange Road and Whippendell Road.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of upcoming roadworks due to take place this month.

- Delays are likely in Exchange Road, Watford, between 8am and 4pm from November 17 to November 24 when a lane will be closed for utility asset works. The work is due to take place between the junctions of Market Street and Marlborough Road.

- Marlborough Road, Watford, will be shut to drivers between 8am and 4pm from November 17 to November 24 for works by Openreach. A diversion will be in operation.

- Clarendon Road, Watford, will be closed to motorists from 8pm on November 18 to 5am on November 19 to enable a crane to be lifted at St John’s Primary School.

- Fuller Road, Watford, will be shut from November 18 to November 29 for gas works by Cadent.

- Works by Openreach means delay are likely in Hagden Lane, Watford, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 20, while the junction with Brightwell Road will be shut between those times. Two-way traffic lights will be in use in Hagden Lane.

- Delays are likely in Whippendell Road, Watford, from November 20 to November 22 for works by Affinity Water. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Printers Avenue.

- Motorists will be unable to use Hatfield Road, Watford, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 21 and November 22 for roadworks.

- Pathway reconstruction work means Nascot Street, Watford, will be closed from 8am to 5pm between November 21 and November 26. The work will be taking place from the junction with Langley Road to the junction with Malden Road on the odds side only. A diversion will be in place.
