Leavesden's Gypsy Lane field has been transformed into an ecological park for the public to enjoy.

Warner Bros Studios Leavesden undertook almost a year of preparation, landscaping, and planting to transform the field into a public space.

The project was part of the studio's expansion plan, approved by Three Rivers District Council, which included ecological and habitat enhancement works.

Councillor Stephen Giles-Medhurst, leader of Three Rivers District Council, said: "This is a fascinating ecological enhancement project, and I know it will serve as a great inspiration to the whole district.

"The efforts put in by Warner Bros Studios Leavesden will be of great benefit to wildlife and residents alike.

"Warner Bros continues to work cooperatively and hand in hand with Three Rivers District Council in supporting our climate change agenda and this latest enhancement is such a positive move."

New woodland areas, hedgerows, fruit trees, and English oaks have been planted, creating a variety of different habitats. The southern part of the site maintains grassland for resident skylarks.

The space is only accessible by foot, ensuring the area remains vehicle-free and its integrity is protected.

Emily Stillman, senior vice president at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, said: "It’s fantastic to see this field become established as an area for nature; attracting wildlife and creating a beautiful place for residents from the local area to enjoy."
