A man is set to be sentenced after being charged with making more than 7,000 indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children.
Scott Powell, 49, appeared in St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday (November 4) and indicated a guilty plea for three charges of distributing indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs and three charges of making such photographs.
All charges are for offences in Abbots Langley on different dates, or date ranges, in June 2022.
Powell, of Globe Pond Road, London, is set to appear for sentencing in St Albans Crown Court on November 29.

The charges for ‘making’ refer to 1,127 category C, 2,302 category B, and 3,911 category A indecent images of children.
The charges for ‘distributing’ refer to three category C, three category B, and six category A indecent images of children.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service, category A images involve penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with an animal, or sadism.
Category B means images involving non-penetrative sexual activity while category C covers any indecent image not falling within A or B.
