Councillors have approved plans to build a block of flats at a fire-damaged site in Watford.
Plans for four apartments on the corner of Lingmoor Drive and Loweswater Crescent, Garston, were submitted in May after a previous proposal for five in the same spot was withdrawn last year.
Neighbours objected on both attempts, citing privacy concerns and potential congestion, meaning it had to be called in for consideration by Watford Borough Council's development management committee on Tuesday (November 5).
Councillors approved the plans during the meeting after planning officers suggested it should be green lit in their report.
The recommendation said it "would not cause a significant loss of light, outlook or privacy to neighbouring properties and a good living environment would be provided for future occupiers of the proposed dwellings".

The land was previously used to store travelling showmen’s equipment and caravans, dating back to 1975. Images from the site have showed a mobile home that was destroyed in a fire, loose bags of storage, and a storage container.
Its current state has been described as having “a significant adverse impact on the physical and visual character of the area”.
The contemporary two-storey building will be made up of one-bedroom flats with one parking space each.
