A teenager from Watford has appeared in court charged with four serious offences, including rape.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Inner London Crown Court on Friday (November 1) following an earlier hearing in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court last month.
He has been charged with four counts of rape of a woman aged 16 or over and four counts of assault of a female by penetration.
A trial has been set for next year, due to get under way on June 2.
The case was adjourned until his next court appearance on December 13, where a plea will be entered.
The alleged offences took place on three different days.
Two charges of assault took place on September 24, in Brighton and at St Pancras train station in London.
The other offences are said to have occurred on October 11, on a train stationery at Gatwick station, on a train between Bedford and Gatwick, and at Bedford Railway Station.
