Drivers are likely to experience delays due to upcoming roadworks on two of Watford’s busiest roads.
Gas works are due to start on the A405 North Orbital Road on Monday that are scheduled to last for three weeks, while resurfacing works in Waterfields Way later this month may cause problems for drivers using the Tesco superstore during the evenings.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to take place in and around Watford throughout November.
- Motorists are likely to experience delays from Monday on the A405 North Orbital Road, Watford, for gas works by Cadent. The work is due to continue until November 22 and will involve a lane closure near to the junction with Sheepcot Lane.
- Field Way, Rickmansworth, will be shut to motorists from 8am to 4pm, from Monday to Friday to reconstruct speed humps. The closure will be in place from Uxbridge Road to Berry Lane and traffic will be diverted.
- Traffic will be diverted in Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey, when the road is closed from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. This is for resurfacing works at the junction of Blairhead Drive.
- Delays are likely from 9.30am to 3pm on Wednesday when Thames Water will be carrying out works in Langley Road, Watford. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use at the junction with Denmark Street.
- Moor Lane, Rickmansworth, will be shut from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday for works by Openreach. A diversion will be in operation.
- Skidmore Way, Rickmansworth, will be closed from 8am to 6pm, from Wednesday to November 13 for pathway works.
- Delays are likely in Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey, from 9.30am to 4pm on November 12 to cut back the undergrowth between the coach depot and St Georges Drive. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Parts of Waterfields Way, Watford, will be closed from 8pm to 5am, from November 13 to November 16 for surfacing and other works. The closure will be at the junction with Lower High Street and will also involve a section northbound towards the Tesco roundabout and the crossroads outside the Nissan garage. A diversion will be in operation.
