Police have arrested a young man on suspicion of attempted murder after gunshots were fired at someone in Watford town centre.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was sat on a bench outside Watford High Street Station when shots were fired towards him on the afternoon of July 10.
He then ran and was struck in the back of the head with an object - believed to be a gun - causing a minor injury, police said. Two suspects fled on an e-bike sparking a manhunt involving armed officers, but at the time no one was caught.
Today (October 30), police confirmed a 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of attempted murder, before being released on bail as enquiries continue.

The attack has previously been linked to several acts of suspected "targeted" violence across Watford, including a shooting on the A41 and two stabbings.
In relation to the A41 shooting, which left a man in his 20s in a life-threatening condition on July 25, four people have now been charged and seven others arrested.
The force urged anyone with information to contact them via non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 41/56432/24.
