Emergency services rushed to a residential street after a car was driven into the front of a house near Bushey Heath.

A man in his 70s drove a white Toyota Corolla into the porch and garage in Warwick Close at around 12pm on Sunday (October 27).

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene where they found the property damaged and the driver with what is believed to be minor injuries. 

No one is thought to have been injured inside.

Herts Fire and Rescue posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Fire Control received a call to a car driven into a property on Warwick Close, Bushey.

“A crew from Watford Fire Station attended. On their arrival the crew carried out scene safety and left the incident with the East of England Ambulance Service and Herts Police.”

The driver was not the homeowner and no arrests have been made, a Herts Police spokesperson confirmed.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "“We were called just 12.15pm on Sunday with reports of a road traffic collision in Warwick Close in Bushey Heath.

"An ambulance and ambulance officer were sent to the scene where they found a car had struck into a house. The driver of the car, an adult man, did not require being taken to hospital.”
