Progress has been made with Herts Police's Watford shooting probe as four people have been charged and seven others were arrested.

Officers have been working to “bring those responsible to justice” after a man in his 20s was shot, leaving him in a life-threatening condition, the force has said.

It happened following a run-in with the occupants of a black BMW on the A41 North Western Avenue at around 5.20pm on July 25.

The following people have been charged:

In August, Herts Police charged Hekmat Galmne, 26, of Village Way in Pinner, with attempted murder in connection with the shooting. He is set to appear in St Albans Crown Court on November 29.

(Image: Chris Ralfe) Carlito Dujon, of Dodd Road, Watford, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in September. The 20-year-old is also set to appear in St Albans Crown Court on November 29.

Selin Johnson, 23, of High Meadow Crescent, London, was charged with perverting the course of justice. She is next due in St Albans Crown Court on January 6.

Zarmina Galmne, 24, of Village Way, Pinner, was also charged with perverting the course of justice and will appear in the same court on the same day as Selin Johnson.

Seven others have also been arrested:

  • A 19-year-old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. He remains on bail.
  • A 16-year-old boy from Watford was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder. He remains on bail.
  • A 38-year-old woman from Watford was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. She remains on bail.
  • An 18-year-old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. He is no longer on police bail and will not face any further action.
  • An 18-year-old woman from Bushey was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. She is no longer on police bail and will not face any further action.

Two 18-year-old men from Watford are to be formally charged with violent disorder in connection to the investigation when they next appear at St Albans Crown Court on 29 November.
