Admitting to using an 11–15-year-old's Zip Oyster photocard for free travel 81 times landed a Bushey man with a fine in court.
Harry McKenna, of Koh-I-Noor Avenue, appeared in Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 17, charged with using a travel mandate issued for another person at Windmill Lane, Bushey, on May 13.
The 20-year-old was fined £60 as well as being ordered to pay £243.65 in compensation, £200 in costs, and a £24 surcharge. The compensation related to 80 other offences taken into consideration.

Today (October 25), TfL confirmed that he had used a Child 11-15 Zip Oyster photocard belonging to a family member, which was non-transferable, on a London bus service.
The government body then analysed its journey history which suggested it had been used for another 80 journeys, which McKenna also admitted to in court.
Free travel on buses and trams is one of the benefits of the photocards.
