Motorists are being urged to 'avoid the area' after emergency works forced a Watford road to close in both directions.
Water Lane is shut from Greatham Road to the A414 for Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) to carry out "carriageway investigative works".

As a result, both Water Lane and Bushey Hall Road will be closed, with traffic website One Network reporting that disruption will continue until 7pm tonight (October 22).
