Drivers may find their journeys disrupted as several roads in and around the Watford area are set to be shut for roadworks.
Details of the temporary closures have been posted in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.
All temporary road closure orders are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant location.
Here are some notices we’ve rounded up which could affects residents in Watford, Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Chorleywood and Loudwater.
Nightingale Road, Rickmansworth – temporary closure
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles from using Nightingale Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with A412 Uxbridge Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m, except for access, to replace a gas main.
If made, this order will come into force on October 28.
Roads in Croxley Green and Rickmansworth – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to shut the following lengths of roads to allow works to be carried out:
- Dickinson Square, Croxley Green from its junction with New Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m.
- Greenhills Close, Rickmansworth from its junction with Valley Road south westwards and north westwards for its entire length. Access to properties will be maintained whenever possible during the works.
This order, if made, will come into force on October 28.
Roads in Chorleywood and Loudwater – temporary closure
An order, if made, will come into force on October 30 authorising the temporary closure of the following lengths of roads to allow works to be carried out:
- Little Hill, Chorleywood from its junction with Long Lane north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 150m. Access to properties will be maintained whenever possible during the works.
- Sarratt Lane, Loudwater from its junction with Solesbridge Lane south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Loudwater Lane, a distance of approximately 1450m.
Estate of Peter Tish
Anyone with a claim against or an interest in the estate of Peter Tish, late of 73 Ebury Road, Rickmansworth WD3 1BL, who died on February 27, 2024, should send their written particulars to Daniel Peter Tish and Elinor Carol Tish, c/o Darlington Hardcastles Solicitors, 28 Church Street, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, WD3 1DD.
These should be sent on or before December 12, 2024.
Estate of Eleanor Eldridge (nee Baxter)
Anyone with a claim against or an interest in the estate of Eleanor Eldridge (nee Baxter), late of Stratford Road, Watford WD17 4DH, who died on August 14, 2024, should send their details to David James Powers, The London Gazette (44686), PO Box 3584, Norwich NR7 7WD.
These should be sent on or before December 12, 2024
