Watford has placed in the top three in a new study of the best-linked locations for public transport in Britain.
The town received an overall score of 67.34 out of 100 for its transport network, behind only Liverpool (69.22) and Glasgow (71.83).
It performed particularly well for its percentage of train journeys to work, with many likely heading into London, and rail stops per square-mile – for which Watford had the most of anywhere in the table.

It ranked much lower for the percentage of bus journeys to work.
The data, collated by bus travel experts GetByBus, also looked at the number of bus stops per square mile, train station usage data, and bus journeys to work as well as taxis, private hire vehicles, and airports per 100,000 people.
GetByBus CEO Ante Dageila said: “With workers, students, and others relying on public transport daily, it is vital for links across Great Britain to be strong and reliable.”
Reading (67.07), Machester (65.68), Crawley (64.70), Brighton and Hove (63.63), Birmingham (62.93), Luton (58.92), Cardiff (58.35).
London itself failing to crack the top 10 is due to the fact that the London Underground was not included in the data.
Previously, Property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) had named Watford the UK's best place to live in the Vitality Index 2024 assessment at the start of this year.
