A man is set to appear in crown court over allegedly possessing a weapon, intentional strangulation, and criminal damage to a hotel.
Stuart Phillips, of Holmside Rise, South Oxhey, appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 7, charged with five offences and was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance in Gloucester Crown Court on February 4, 2025.

According to court documents, the criminal damage charge involved a pelmet, lampshade, and bedding belonging to Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham (of unknown value but worth less that £5,000) also on August 11.
During the magistrates’ court appearance, he admitted to a breach of bail conditions.
The crown court appearance is set to be for “further case management”.
