Residents were alarmed to find four truckloads of waste have been fly-tipped during different incidents in the same part of a field.
Furniture, toys, bags, debris, pots, and more were discovered dumped on the patch of land, set back from Oxhey Lane, near Carpenders Park.
Several walkers reported it to Three Rivers District Council, with the tip which appeared on Friday being described as “awful”, “irresponsible”, and “excessive”.
However, since then more waste has been dumped with the most recent on Monday this week.

Carpenders Park councillor Rue Grewal said: “It is clear that this is a deliberate act of dumping that could have easily been taken to the tip.
“I am increasingly alarmed by the rise in fly-tipping in and around Carpenders Park.
“On my daily walks, I constantly come across these situations, and I report them every time.”
The Conservative added: “At the heart of this issue is the irresponsible choice of a few individuals to pollute our environment and trespass on others’ property, with no regard for their fellow residents.
“Moreover, the cost of cleaning up this waste falls on all of us as taxpayers.”
A padlock was initially put on the gate to prevent it happening again by a member of the public, but this has been removed to allow access for clean-up.
This afternoon, a district council spokesperson confirmed that Environmental Enforcement Officers have investigated after receiving multiple reports.
They added that three tipper loads of waste were found on Friday, before a fourth that had occurred over the weekend was discovered on Monday.
It turned out that the land is owned by Hertfordshire County Council and so the officers raised it with counterparts there.
The matter was apparently then passed over to the county property department for removal.
Hertfordshire County Council has been contacted for a confirmed date for it to be cleared. Update to follow.
Update (October 18): The rubbish has since been cleared
